These were the best acts according to the Pinkpop audience

Rain, sun, Limp Bizkit and Ed Sheeran: Pinkpop 2024 was a special edition! Reviewers climbed into the pen, but what did the audience think? The pink-hat crowd made their voices heard via concert and festival app Gigit. With the following Top 5 as a result:

5. Sam Smith

How to make a hot Sunday even hotter? Leave that to Sam Smith! Sam puts on a sensual show full of dance and glitter and – not unimportantly – sings the stars from heaven in the process. The audience watched with open mouths:
“What happened here?!”, “Headliner worthy”, “Awesome”, “Fantastic!”.

4. Limp Bizkit

The old timers of Limp Bizkit don’t seem quite at home at a pop festival, although frontman Fred Durst claims he has always considered Limp Bizkit to be pop music. After several interludes from the likes of Backstreet Boys and The Outfield, Ed Sheeran then comes on stage to sing a song along. The result:
“The highlight of Pinkpop 2024,” “A party,” “Mind blown!”

3. Cian Ducrot

Classically trained Cian Ducrot manages to completely pack the rain-soaked audience on Friday. The Irish singer-songwriter shows early in the afternoon that he can handle the big North Stage just fine even in the rain.
“Beautiful voice,” “Love & Deep,” “Very nice show,” “Amazing!”

2. Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran is quite used to playing large crowds in his solo capacity. So for the headlining spot on Sunday he doesn’t turn his back. He explains beforehand how his ‘loop station’ works, so people don’t think he’s playing along with a backing track; everything is live. What follows is an energetic set packed with hits that convinces even the older guard in the Pinkpop audience.
“Brilliant closing act”, “Real headliner”, “Delicious hits to sing along”, “Craftsman”, “Great show!”

1. Nothing But Thieves

Nothing But Thieves put on a closing worthy set on the North Stage early on Saturday night.
“Brilliant,” “More of this,” “Fantastic,” “Best show ever!”

What do you think?

Did Nothing But Thieves blow you away, too? Or did you have other favorites? Let your opinion be heard in the Gigit app!
