Australian artist Xavier Rudd can safely call himself a man of serious versatility. For twenty years, he has been impressively creating timeless songs in which he lays bare his social commitment. That’s because, in addition to his musical career, Rudd is a true activist, standing up for the rights of the Aboriginal peoples, and caring about the fate of the environment. His lyrics incorporate strong spiritual messages with which he connects people and provides them with hope. In addition, Rudd is a multi-instrumentalist who often performs on stage as a one-man band, which makes his lyrics and music even more personal and powerful. His latest effort Jan Juc Moon, is the tenth studio album he’s delivered. Rudd is master of various instruments such as guitar, shaker, didgeridoo, djembe, harmonica and slide banjo. Add to that a soulful voice, and sheer magic is what you get.
