The fact that the catchy pop rock songs of the American group OneRepublic appeal to a wide audience isn’t just evident from the millions of records they sell worldwide. In a review on 3voor12 about the band’s performance during the Pinkpop edition of 2015, the attending journalist noted that the hits of lead singer and lyricist Ryan Tedder were being massively sung along to – even right at the back of the festival grounds, and even by tough-looking bearded and tattooed dudes. One of those hits is of course the Timbaland-produced Apologize, which was number 1 in 16 countries. Meanwhile, OneRepublic has a fifth album out, entitled Human, which is full of beautiful tracks, such as the singles Rescue Me and Wanted. They’ll all be belting them out across the festival fields again in Landgraaf come June!
