There are all-star bands, and then there are total icons. Rock act Hollywood Vampires was founded ten years ago by Alice Cooper, Joe Perry and Johnny Depp. The name stems from a group of famous drinking buddies initiated by Cooper in the 1970s, which included members of The Beatles, The Who and The Monkees. Hollywood Vampires have been performing since 2015, paid tribute to the recently deceased Lemmy a year later at the Grammy Awards, and have released two albums so far: Hollywood Vampires in 2015 and Rise in 2019. On stage and in the studio, they are often helped out by well-known pals, from Paul McCartney and Dave Grohl to members of Guns ‘n’ Roses. They’re also taking guitarist Tommy Henriksen along to Pinkpop, and if all goes to plan, all the roofs in Landgraaf look set to blast right off!
