Bente

She may have only been on the planet for 22 years, but Bente has a resume that is way lengthier than many other artists… and more varied too! We got to know her back in the day as Bente Fokkens, when she took part in The Voice Kids in 2012, and blew everyone away with her version of Anouk’s Lost. In addition, a documentary was made about her, entitled Bente’s Voice, and she’s performed on the top Dutch TV show DWDD a number of times. Around the same period, she also made a swift ascent within the acting profession, with roles in both films (Kappen!, Misfit 1 & 2) and series (Soof: Een Nieuw Begin). But the world of music simply kept on calling, so in 2020, she released an EP, and the year after that, scored a hit with a duet Nee Is Nee (‘No Means No’) featuring the artist Maan. Last year, Bente put out her debut album Als Ik Met De Wind Kon Dansen (‘If I Could Dance with the Wind’), and set its release time to precisely 11:11 a.m. on November 11.
